Ave Dakpa Crocodile Pond.

 Ave Dakpa is a town located in the Akatsi North District of the Volta region, the Ave Dakpa crocodile pond could become one of Ghana's most sought after tourism attractions. Inhabited by a huge number of crocodiles, this pond which was initially made to solve water problems in Ave Dakpa has become the biggest crocodile pond in Ghana. 

This pond is not just inhabited by giant crocodiles, it also has beautiful delicate fishes, one of the things that personally excited my adventurous heart. 

With the help of the District Chief Executive of the Akatsi North District, Dr Prince Sodoke Amuzu, the Ave Dakpa Crocodile Pond was officially recognized as a tourism attraction in 2017.

Till date, this pond still serves as a source of water for household use in the community. Crocodiles and humans live in harmony.
