Jacob Gonami Agbenuvor, popularly known by his stage name " JJ Gonami" or "Dr Gbekui," is a Ghanaian artiste, sound engineer, and songwriter. Born and raised in Tegbi Agbedrafor–Keta, in the Volta Region of Ghana, JJ Gonami is a multifaceted musician who sings and raps in his native language, Ewe, as well as English. His stage name "Gonami" originates from the Ewe language and translates to "Give way," a name bestowed upon him by his late grandmother, Mad. Emma Kporvi, who was also a musician.

From an early age, JJ Gonami demonstrated a passion for music, which he pursued while attending basic school in Keta. His talent and potential in the field of music are evident, and he has vowed to use his skills to contribute positively to the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole.

JJ Gonami's musical repertoire spans various genres, including Afrobeat, Drill, Amapiano, Hiplife, Highlife, Reggae, Afropop, Dancehall, Hip-hop, and Native Music. His versatility and quick learning abilities have allowed him to amass an impressive collection of over 100 songs, with more still in the works. 

Having established a reputation for himself both in Ghana and abroad, JJ Gonami is known for his captivating stage presence and unique qualities that have endeared him to audiences. In pursuit of his music career, JJ Gonami made the decision to relocate from Keta to Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
